STUDIO PRODUCTION
A Recording Studio is the most important tool for every Musician, to be able to work and record.
Mark has a long time experience and owned his first Recording Studio in Athens Greece from 1995 – 2001, the “Magna Carta Studio” which exclusively worked in the Greek music industry, recorded Gold and Platinum Records and also working post production, advertisements, Radio and local Television.
After 15 years, early 2020 Mark decided to break down his tents in the UK and Germany and return to Greece and build a new Studio in the mountains of Lavrio, the coastal harbour town next to Sounion in the South of Athens, which marks today the “Drum Dungeon Studio”.
Produced by Mark Cross, Joe Stump´s TOWER OF BABEL´s new album “Days of Thunder” was partly recorded at the DD Studio in 2022/23. Vocals and Drums were tracked drums and edited.
The Studio is equipped with selected Analog and Digital equipment and his main aim from day one was of course to be able to record top sounding drums.
A fine sounding room had been built, offering a selection of vintage Sennheiser´s, AKG´s, Neumann and Beyer Microphones and Neve, API, Capi, WA, BSS, Soundcraft, dbx Analog Pre Amps and Outboards, two UA Apollo x8p interfaces and the entire UA library.
Of course we have a Tama Starclassic Performer B7B kit withall sizes, Marshall, Engl, Ampeg and Hartke amps and more.
Dows like Cubase, Logic & Avid and of course MAC.
We mostly focus on Drum recordings in the Rock and Pop Rock genre, this is where we are very most experienced at and our heart lies, we are not really specified for the modern type of Music, R´nB, Rap, Trap etc …
For exclusive customers, we also offer a selection of vintage guitar and bass amps and of course any kind of drums you want. We created a top team of Staff, Engineers and Assistants, in collaboration with the Aspiotis Studio for Mixing, Midi and sound creation, which is located in Athens. A professional environment with an SSL4000, Chandler EMI and Shadow Hills outboards, the real deal!
